Kaitlin Trujillo is best known as True Kait, the persona she takes on as an adult content creator and sex worker. Trujillo found herself in the industry after years working in marketing and sales while also juggling a side hustle as a personal trainer. What began as a small faceless account on OnlyFans where she posted an occasional nude photo turned into a lucrative career, complete with full sex scenes where everything was out in the open.
As her popularity grew, Trujillo found herself being invited to sex parties more and more often. Since she’d already begun exploring other aspects of her sexuality, Trujillo figured why not. She explained more in a recent interview.
“I was just more open to new experiences and I thought why not. Worst case, I could just leave early. But I actually ended up having a really good time at my first party. And I realize that it’s not what people usually think it is.”
Trujillo went on to describe the kind of sex parties she goes to, insisting that they are very relaxing, and people simply sit around and get to know each other for most of it.
“I love that you can just show up as yourself. You can be totally honest about what you’re into, and there’s no judgment. I think that everyone is kind of on the same page,” she continued.
“We’re all there to explore and connect, and most importantly feel safe while doing it. And I also love how open the conversations are. People talk about their boundaries and they express their desires in such a clear way, which I feel doesn’t happen enough in everyday life.”
Trujillo went on to explain that boundaries in particular are important. Everyone has different boundaries and desires going into these parties, and the most important thing is to communicate — and to ensure everyone is consenting.
She explains that all successful and safe parties should have a consent check-in before any kind of sexual activity takes place, as well as a detailed conversation about what you are and are not comfortable participating in. She also emphasizes the importance of people being of sound mind (sober) at these parties, as anyone who is under the influence may not be able to adequately consent. Trujillo also shared that her boundaries change based on each party and whether or not she brings someone with her.
While she has mostly had good experiences with sex parties, she advises people to get out if they feel uncomfortable.
“I’ve been to parties where the vibe just feels off. Like maybe there’s too many new people or people aren’t really respecting other people’s space. So for me, I’m not afraid to leave or just sit something out like if I don’t feel good about it. I feel like you have to be able to check in with yourself and know when something’s not for you.”
So if you are considering saying yes to that next invitation to a sex party, be prepared to show up sober with a good idea of what your boundaries are — and ready to leave if things don’t feel right.
