OnlyFans star, Rebecca Goodwin, may be all over your Tiktok FYP (For You Page) this week, and for good reason. The adult content creator, influencer and mother is being applauded for standing up to Shuan Maroof and CJ McKenna, the hosts of The Reality Check podcast, after they mocked and bullied her for her career. From TikTok creators and followers to celebrities like Love Island’s Olivia Attwood, women around the world are coming to the defense of the 30-year-old mom who walked out of the unpaid interview that she drove over 3 hours to record.
Attwood has personal experience with Goodwin, having interviewed her for the ITV2 reality show Getting Filthy Rich that features women who have made a fortune creating adult content online, and the celebrity described Goodwin as ‘kind and warm and open’.
That does not seem to be the opinion of the podcast hosts who were joined by another guest, Marky, for the interview with Goodwin, who called the mother of two ‘delusional’ after she stormed out of the interview. Her decision to leave came after the three men continuously talked over the model and criticized what she does for a living. The OnlyFans model – who has over 323,000 followers on TikTok and 230,000 followers on Instagram — tried to talk about what she’s been doing with the $100,000 she makes a month from her content on the subscription-based platform, but the hosts wouldn’t let her finish.
As Goodwin tried to share why she was investing in property (to rent out affordable housing to low-income families), the men repeatedly interrupted her to ask what she was really contributing to society. Co-host Maroof also asked Goodwin if she would ever leave her current career to preserve her ‘dignity’, and she said no. The model alluded to having been abused as a child and said her work was an act of ‘reclaiming everything that’s been taken from me’. That didn’t stop the hosts from laughing and making fun of Goodwin as she discussed taking her children on a vacation in the UK, at which point the model left the interview.
After leaving, the hosts seemed confused as to why she left. And after Goodwin shared her story on social media, they posted the full video on YouTube to try to show their side of the story. Their YouTube account, which was recently de-monetised so that they can no longer earn revenue from advertisements, received a flurry of comments defending Goodwin.
“Snoring as she spoke, calling her names, talking over her, mimicking her voice, begging for money, raising voices all at once, diminishing her many accomplishments and laughing in her face. Which bit are you calling ‘banter’? This is a masterclass in the problem with men in society today,” said one viewer.
Another comment read: “Sitting behind a microphone with your buddies creating a podcast you’re not even getting paid for and asking what she contributes is wild.”
Another said, “What’s strikingly obvious is how much more intelligent she is than the 3 of them put together.”
Goodwin is grateful for the support, and doesn’t plan to change anything she’s doing. Including contributing to society with her affordable housing investments. Which is more than the hosts seem to be doing right now.
