Kyochon Chicken: Original Chicken Wings

Barely digested burgers still working their way through our lower GI tracts and Sousa marches still ringing in our ears, the post-Fourth of July haze makes way for another national holiday honoring our liberty, our independence and our love of fried foods. Today is National Fried Chicken Day. Like all patriotic Americans, we want to celebrate, but it's far too hot to fire up the deep-fryer. What to do? Crack open a bottle of wine, and let someone else do the cooking. What pairs well with the Colonel's “secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices” (10 of which are probably variations on salt and pepper)?

Fortunately, the good folks at Snooth have done all the hard work, hosting a KFC and wine tasting panel, trying eight wines against a grip of KFC dishes: original recipe fried chicken, grilled chicken, wings and more. So if you want to be classy and cheap, elegant and lazy all at the same time on National Fried Chicken Day, there you go.
