Atlanta metal band Sevendust may have emerged in the nu-metal petri dish that was 1994, but they’ve spent the subsequent two and a half decades stretching out of that most restrictive of sub-genres. In 2018 they released their 12th studio album All I See is War, and they were praised by critics for their polished approach. The only new release since then is this year’s single — a timely cover of Soundgarden’s “The Day I Tried to Live.” Frontman Lajon Witherspoon will likely discuss all of that at Tuesday’s live streamed interview with Irving Plaza.
