New York-based, French-Columbian R&B singer and songwriter Gabriel Garzón-Montano cites Prince and Stevie Wonder among his influences, though the fact that his mom was a member of minimalist composer Philip Glass’ ensemble is fascinating. It all adds up to a heady brew, evident on his acclaimed debut album Jardin. He’s toured North America with Kali Uchis, he dropped the song “Someone” earlier in the year, and on Tuesday he’s livestreaming so you can see what all the fuss is about.
