A man who was fatally shot at a party in Watts has been identified as 24-year-old Louis Pickett. The shooting occurred in the 2000 block of East 103rd Street, a few blocks east of Wilmington Avenue, about 1:45 a.m. on October 4.

Pickett was shot in the upper body, and was taken to a hospital and died a few hours later. Police believe the shooting is gang-related. Anyone with information should contact the LAPD's Criminal Gang Homicide Group at (213) 485-1383
