No, your Schnauzer didn't nibble all the food stories from your latest issue of Vogue. Jeffrey Steingarten's recent piece on his favorite Los Angeles restaurants, which was posted last week on Vogue.com, was web-only. In it, the Vogue columnist, noted critic and author of, among other books, “The Man Who Ate Everything,” discourses at most pleasurable length on his current LA favorites. Who made the cut? Jose Andres' The Bazaar, Mozza, Animal, Rivera, and San Gabriel's Chung King. That last one came courtesy of The Weekly's Jonathan Gold, who apparently blindfolded Steingarten (“I'm afraid I can't tell you exactly where that is”) en route. Maybe it's a restaurant critic thing.

One wonders where else they went. Perhaps someone should put a GPS locator on Mr. Gold's pickup the next time it's parked in The Weekly parking lot.
