Deadly Semi-Truck Collision Kills Pedestrian near El Cerrito Road

CORONA, CA (September 16, 2021) – Early  Tuesday morning, 49-year-old Michael Pashley was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 15.

The crash occurred around 3:55 a.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway. Dispatchers arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, Pashley was driving an Acura SUV when he struck the rear of a semi-truck. When he got out of his vehicle to survey the damage, he was then hit by another tractor-trailer.

The driver of the initial semi-truck that Pashley struck stayed at the site of the crash. However, the driver of the tractor-trailer pulling two gravel trailers fled the scene.

Paramedics responded and pronounced Michael Pashley of Santa Ana, dead at the scene.

Authorities did not release any additional information at this time. However, an investigation is underway.
