From a small, family-run salon in Kazakhstan to international recognition in the beauty industry, Meirkhan Yuldasheva is living an immigrant nail success story. Though she has faced low points and difficult times, Yuldasheva has made a name for herself, one that resonates in her industry and with aspiring artists. Through passion and inspiration, Yuldasheva remains determined to excel.
A Mother’s Inspiration
Born in Uzbekistan, Yuldasheva soon faced financial difficulty when her family moved to Kazakhstan. To support the family, her mother learned how to do professional nail art; as the eldest daughter, Yuldasheva soon became involved with the work. In time, her mother was able to rent a small space in Almaty, which became the family beauty salon.
“I began helping her between school hours,” Yuldasheva stated. “After some time, she insisted that I take a professional manicurist course to earn my first certificate, and that moment marked the beginning of my love for the nail industry.”
Finding a Passion for the Nail Industry
While Yuldasheva already had experience in the nail industry, this certification led her to develop a true passion for it. She took more advanced courses, worked with complex nail and hand types, and mastered precision nail art and the natural-looking manicure. Perhaps most notably, Yuldasheva developed significant skill in Russian manicure, a popular technique in the region and around the world.
Inspired by her mother’s own success, Yuldasheva soon decided to move to California and build her own career as a manicurist. Though she lacked connections, money, and privilege, she was equipped with discipline, patience, and a results-driven mindset, which kept her moving forward.
“I had passion, discipline, and a mother who inspired me,” Yuldasheva recalled. “I [wanted] to show other girls from immigrant families that dreams can be built from a single nail table and turn into international recognition.”

Determination to Succeed
Rising through the Californian beauty industry with no connections was difficult, but Yuldasheva’s determination soon yielded results. She first obtained a California manicurist license and quickly earned recognition among her clientele. Consistent, patient, and always willing to learn, Yuldasheva earned opportunities to work with prominent celebrities and delivered quality results.
International Recognition and High-Profile Work
During her career, Yuldasheva has made several notable achievements. She has been acknowledged as a winner of the international Perfection Nail championship, earning first place in the “Royal French,” “Gradient on Tips,” and “Upper Form Sculpting with Solid Color” categories. Additionally, Yuldasheva has worked with high-profile clients such as Chisa and Amy Harvey of the K-pop group XG, bloggers Anna Maligon and Pollin Pauline, and even Kazakhstani model Aiasha Shalkar.
An Artist and an Inspiration
As an EB-1A nail artist from Kazakhstan, Yuldasheva has become known for more than just clean cuticle work and luxury nail design; her passion has led her to become an example to others. Through her work, as well as her Instagram page @mira_pronails, this inspiring nail technician shows others that anyone can achieve their dream, so long as they keep going and continue to believe in their strengths.
