Today's half dozen or so May Day marches will begin kicking off in a few hours. Here's a rough schedule, provided by the L.A. Daily News.
- Full Rights for Immigrant Workers When: 1 p.m. Where: Olympic Boulevard & Broadway. Route: North on Broadway to Temple Street & Broadway.
- May First Day of Action in Support of Workers Rights
When: 2 p.m. Where: Echo Park & Park avenues Route: east on Sunset
Boulevard, south on Spring Street, east on Temple Street and north on
Los Angeles Street to La Placita.
- March for Immigrants When: 3 p.m. Where: Broadway
between 11th & 12th streets. Route: north on Broadway, east on
First Street and north on Los Angeles Street to the Federal Building,
site of the ICE detention center.
- Immigrant Rights/Legalize L.A. When: 4 p.m. Where: Seventh Street at Alameda Street. Route: North on Central Avenue, west on Fifth Street, north on Broadway, east on First Street, north on Spring Street to City Hall.
- May First Annual Boycott March When: 4:30 p.m. Where: Olympic
Boulevard & South Broadway. Route: north on Broadway, east on First
Street and north on Spring Street to City Hall.
- International Workers Day March to MacArthur Park When: 5:30 p.m. Where: Spring & First streets. Route: west on First Street, south on Broadway, west on Seventh Street to MacArthur Park.
