Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Rice Ranch Road

ORCUTT, CA (November 28, 2023)Mark Lee Rogers died Sunday morning in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on northbound Highway 135. The incident occurred at approximately 12:34 a.m., just south of Rice Ranch Road. According to reports, a passing vehicle hit the victim and immediately fled the scene without contacting authorities or rendering aid. Medical personnel arrived and located the unconscious pedestrian down on the road. Crews later identified the deceased pedestrian as 33-year-old Rogers, of Paso Robles. Following preliminary duties, police did not released any additional details. Officers shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations. Once available, further details will be provided.
