38-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Rollover Collision near Bridge Street

LAKEVIEW, CA (September 22, 2022) – Sunday night, Marcus Adkins was killed in a rollover crash on Ramona Expressway.

Police responded to the scene around 10:30 p.m., just east of Bridge Street on September 18th.

According to reports, a 37-year-old woman was driving a 2013 Nissan Altima and lost control of the vehicle before traveling across the eastbound lanes. The Nissan veered onto the dirt shoulder before overturning and ejecting Adkins from the front passenger side.

Emergency crews arrived and pronounced 38-year-old Adkins, of Moreno Valley dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the female driver of the Nissan to University Medical Center.

Crews closed both directions of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Following preliminary investigations, police do not suspect that drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.


No words can mend the broken hearts and sorrow felt during this delicate moment. Deepest condolences and sympathies are with the family and friends of Marcus Adkins.
