56-Year-Old Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after a Fatal Car Accident near South 244th Street

KENT, WA (March 14, 2024) – One unidentified man died Monday night in a pedestrian crash on Pacific Highway South. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m., near South 244th Street on February 26th.

Police report that a 19-year-old female driver hit a man walking in the northbound lanes. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Medics declared the 56-year-old male pedestrian dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. However, authorities have not disclosed his identity.

After initial assessments, officers concluded that impairment was not a contributing factor. However, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
