52-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near La Cuenta Drive

SAN DEIGO, CA (April 11, 2024) – A hit-and-run pedestrian crash at the 10791 block of Tierrasanta Boulevard killed one man, early Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:25 p.m., near La Cuenta Drive in a shopping center parking lot.

Police reported that the driver of an unidentified vehicle struck a man, leaving him lying on the ground in the exit lane of the parking lot. Due to the severity of his injuries, first responders pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene.

Emergency crews temporarily closed off the surrounding area during clearing operations. As of now, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. No additional information regarding the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle has been released by the police. The ongoing investigation is being led by the San Diego Traffic Division.
