20-Year-Old Male Rider Pronounced Dead after Van vs Motorcycle Collision near West 4th Street

ANTIOCH, CA (March 26, 2024) – One man was killed late Wednesday afternoon, a dirt-bike crash on L Street and West 4th Street. First responders arrived to the scene around 5:40 p.m.

According to reports, a dirt bike rider was observed speeding southbound on L Street. Under investigation are the reasons why the rider ignored a posted stop sign, resulting in a collision with a white van entering the intersection.

At the scene, medics declared the 20-year-old male dirt bike rider deceased. However, the police have not disclosed his identity at this time. Emergency services also transported the 52-year-old van driver to the hospital in critical condition.
