Big Rig Crash 0n North Avenue Kills 26-Year-Old

FRESNO, CA (January 13, 2022)Malik Blakeney died Monday night in a big rig crash on North Avenue, authorities said.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6 p.m. on January 10th.

Police said Blakeney was driving his Hyundai northbound on Temperance Avenue south of North Avenue, when he entered the westbound lane into the path of a big rig truck.

Consequently, it slammed into the right front passenger side of the Hyundai.

Blakeney, 26, died at the scene due to the extent of his injuries.

Meanwhile, the 58-year-old truck driver, whose identity was withheld, lost control and spun around, spilling lemons along the roadway.

At this time, reports failed to mention what happened to him following the incident.

No further details regarding the crash have been released at this time.
