HANDLER: I don't really have time to miss it, as I am on the road doing stand-up every weekend with the book tour. When the book tour slows down in the summer, I'll do less stand-up, but I always perform a few times a month and make sure I visit cities I normally would have no business being in.

You're quoted as saying, “The worse the guests are, the more pathetic they are, the funnier the show is.” What guest have you said “no” to for your show?

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt

What can we expect at the Gibson Amphitheater show?

A recap of my life from start to finish.

What will you be wearing?

A bra and nothing else. maybe socks.

Proust section, à la Vanity Fair

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

David Hasselhoff.

Which living person do you most admire?

Barack Obama.

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

My penchant for Lean Pockets.

What is your greatest extravagance?

My vacations and the yacht I just chartered for the end of my book tour.

On what occasion do you lie?

I spent most of childhood lying, so as an adult, I only lie to get out of bad situations I find myself in. Otherwise, I try to be as boldly honest as possible. It's what a good friend does.
