Oasis, the legendary Britpop band fronted by the notoriously feuding brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, capped the North American leg of their highly anticipated “Live ’25” reunion tour with two sold-out shows at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl on Sept. 6 and 7. This reunion marked the band’s first major outing since their acrimonious 2009 split, triggered by years of public bickering, heckling and an occasional thrown tambourine.
What began as a toxic sibling rivalry transformed into a lovely story of reconciliation, with the Gallaghers channeling their chaotic energy into supercharged performances over the weekend.
Oasis took the stage for a two-hour-plus, 23-song setlist dominated by their ’90s golden era — classics like “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star,” “Supersonic,” “Live Forever,” “Wonderwall,” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” while deeper cuts added to the emotional punch. They closed out their encore with “Champagne Supernova,” punctuated by fireworks.
These Rose Bowl stops were a massive cultural event in Los Angeles, drawing legions of fans across two nights and turning the city into an Oasismania epicenter with pop-up merch shops, pre- and post-parties, and a weeklong hilarious memecycle.
Fans in attendance included Paul McCartney, who called the show “fabulous,” Leonardo DiCaprio and Billie Eilish, plus Angelenos from all generations who turned into mod English blokes for the night, decked out in parkas, Adidas track suits, and bucket hats.
The two nights came with the expected slog of traffic but nothing fans didn’t expect or couldn’t handle, with the resounding reviews reporting that it was all well worth it. The shows marked the end of the U.S. leg of the tour, which previously stopped in Chicago and East Rutherford. Up next are two nights in Mexico City, then Wembley in London, then Asia.
