57-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Highway 1

ORCUTT, CA (January 23, 2024)Lonell Oliver died early Saturday night in a pedestrian crash on Highway 135.

Emergency personnel arrived at the location shortly after 5:00 p.m. on January 13th, near Highway 1. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently unknown, but first responders pronounced the pedestrian involved dead at the scene.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office later identified the deceased individual as 57-year-old Lonell Oliver from Lompoc. It remains unclear whether the driver of the involved sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Officers closed the surrounding area on Highway 135 while crews worked to clear the scene. No additional details regarding the fatal pedestrian crash have been disclosed to the public. Further information will be provided by Orcutt Officials once it becomes available.
