14-Year-Old Carson Student Dies in Pedestrian Accident on North Carson Street

CARSON CITY, NV (February 5, 2024)Lexi Rodriguez died early Sunday night in a pedestrian collision on Nye Lane and North Carson Street.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m., on January 28th.

According to reports, Rodriguez was struck by the driver of a vehicle while crossing a marked crosswalk. First responders found her on the road with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, 14-year-old Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of her injuries.

Her boyfriend, who was with her at the time, did not sustain any injuries from the accident. Rodriguez, a student at Carson High School, will be deeply missed by her community. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
