37-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Harcourt Avenue

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 17, 2024) Leonardo Sanchez Palomar died Late Thursday in a hit-and-run speeding collision at the 4800 block of Adams Boulevard. The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m., near Harcourt Avenue.

Upon reaching the scene, officers were informed of a collision between a speeding vehicle and another car. The speeding car then careened into a nearby building. First responders pronounced the driver of the struck vehicle deceased at the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities are actively searching for the driver of the speeding car, who is believed to have fled on foot.

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified the deceased driver as Leonardo Sanchez Palomar, aged 37.

Eyewitnesses to the hit-and-run are urged to promptly contact the LAPD. Additional information will be provided once it becomes available.
