Whoever is behind the USC-area hit-and-run that killed Larry Hughes during a morning walk that had him heading to work at Hustler headquarters in Beverly Hills this week, you're in trouble.

Turns out Hughes, 62, is a longtime and beloved Larry Flynt Productions employee who Mr. Flynt personally took a liking too, we're told.

Now Flynt is offering $10,000 for information leading to the suspect wanted in Hughes death.

The collision happened …

… about 5 a.m. Monday as Hughes was walking south in a crosswalk on Normandie Avenue at Exposition Boulevard, according to an LAPD statement.

According to the department …

… A driver in a white Ford Mustang with tinted windows, travelling northbound on Normandie Avenue made a right turn onto Exposition Boulevard and collided into the pedestrian. The driver continued eastbound on Exposition Boulevard, failing to stop, render aid or to identify self as required by law.

Another motorist then struck Hughes — later ID'd as Larry Dean Hughes — but stopped to help, police say.

The Hustler employee — we were told he worked in security at the adult magnate's Beverly Hills headquarters for 16 years — was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the LAPD.

We do hope that someone will come forward with details that can help identify the person who did this.

Anyone with info on the driver of the white Mustang was asked to call police at 323-421-2500.
