For the time being, King’s Seafood Company, the 75-year-old group behind concepts such as King’s Fish House, Fish Camp, Water Grill and more, has pivoted to operating as a market, using its restaurants as locations. The markets provide an alternative to the grocery store and the team is practicing all the necessary precautions: social distancing in all lines, product handled by staff only, concierge shopping and only allowing small groups in at a time.

On Thursday, March 26 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., the market will be popping up at King’s Fish House Calabasas and the following items, plus much more will be available for incredible prices (cash or credit card only):

  • Alaskan halibut
  • King crab legs
  • live Maine lobsters
  • live local spiny lobsters
  • Atlantic salmon
  • jumbo shrimp
  • eggs
  • fresh produce
  • Batch cocktails including margaritas and old fashioned ($25 for a batch of 7 cocktails)

The market is tentatively scheduled to pop-up at Water Grill South Coast Plaza on Friday and Saturday followed by possible dates in Los Angeles and San Diego next week. Those interested can stay up-to-date by checking out the “Market Sale” highlight on Instagram @WaterGrill.

Starting today, Hopdoddy Burger Bar is launching a Pay It Forward campaign. For every burger purchased, Hopdoddy will donate one burger to healthcare professionals who are working  to fight the novel COVID-19 virus. The burger and beer joint hopes to donate nearly 5,000 burgers across all markets throughout the campaign.

Upon online checkout, guests input promo code “Buy1Give1” to redeem; customers in-store can tell cashiers they would like to “Buy One Give One” at checkout. Call your nearest Hopdoddy Burger Bar or head online HERE to place an order to show support for healthcare professionals. Beer and wine are available with each purchase.
