New York multi-instrumentalist CJ Camerieri, aka Carm, released his self-titled debut album in January. He’s celebrating with the Great Northern Festival, also featuring Jake Luppen (Lupin/Hippo Campus), Shara Nova (My Brightest Diamond) and Trever Hagen.

“What kind of record would my trumpet-playing heroes from the past make today?” asked Camerieri in a statement. The press release goes on to say, “Produced by Ryan Olson (Gayngs, Poliça, Lizzo), CARM finds the trumpet and French horn as if they were guitars, keyboards, and vocals—rearranging a sound normally used as a ‘background color’ into the unabashed lead voice.”
