It's June at Los Angeles farmers markets, which means a surfeit of spectacular stone fruit — cherries, peaches, apricots, pluots, nectarines, plums, one could go on — plus artichokes and lettuces, citrus and berries, and the beginning of what will doubtless be many, many tomatoes. And because road trips are necessary even when you live someplace this pretty, this week we drove up to Santa Barbara to load up on blueberries and Forellenschluss and apricots. (Also beach, tacos.) Check out our virtual grocery list, taken at the Saturday Santa Barbara farmers market. And yes, it tastes as good as it looks.
