Josie and Jesika at the Peppermint: AKA when two great minds meet. Josie Cotton might be best known for her ’80s new-wave hits, but she’s an artist that has made to her mission to push boundaries and try new things.
Jesika Von Rabbit has a similar ethos, if a different delivery. The former member of Gram Rabbit is one of the most exciting artists on the SoCal indie circuit. That the two of them are sharing a bill is a thrill.
According to the press release, “Josie Cotton has been actively releasing music on her Kitten Robot label, including her latest, a duet with Kevin Preston for the rockabilly-tinged ‘The Ballad of Elvis Presley.’ In 2020, Dionysus Records, the label owned by Jesika von Rabbit‘s bassist Lee Joseph, released in conjunction with Josie‘s label, her Revenge of the B-Girls album on vinyl, making Josie and Jesika label-mates!”
