22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Sunnyside Drive

BEAUMONT, TX (March 25, 2024)Joseph Paul Richardson was killed Wednesday afternoon, in a motorcycle collision at the 5000 block of College Street. The incident occurred at approximately 4:10 p.m., near Sunnyside Drive on March 13th.

According to investigators, the driver of an eastbound vehicle swerved into the westbound lanes and collided with a westbound rider traveling at high speed. The rider, identified as 22-year-old Richardson, succumbed to severe injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the male driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Emergency crews temporarily closed off the area for cleanup and initial tasks. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
