Multiple Hospitalized after DUI Collision near Alta Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (March 27, 2024) Jessica Guerra was arrested late Sunday afternoon after a DUI accident on Floral and Alta Avenue. Police officers responded to the scene at approximately 4:00 p.m., just north of Dinuba.

Police report that the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu disregarded a stop sign while traveling west on Floral, leading to a collision with a Ford Expedition. The impact caused the Malibu to become airborne before landing upside down.

Emergency responders airlifted both the Malibu driver and a 43-year-old male passenger to the hospital for further medical attention. Additionally, three other passengers in the backseat of the Malibu were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Meanwhile, the occupants of the Expedition escaped injury. Investigators later identified the Malibu driver as 24-year-old Jessica Guerra from Selma.

Following initial procedures, law enforcement arrested Guerra for driving under the influence.
