1 Killed, 1 Injured Following Two-Vehicle Collision near Trout Street

HESPERIA, CA (September 30, 2022) – 22-year-old Jaylyn Boydstun died Thursday morning, in a 2-car accident on Summit Valley Road.

The accident occurred around 6:13 a.m., near Trout Street on September 22nd.

For reasons under investigation, Boydstun was driving a white 2010 Dodge Avenger and crashed into a gray 2015 Dodge Challenger. Despite life-saving efforts, responding rescuers pronounced Boydstun dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics airlifted the other male driver to Loma Linda University Medical Center with unspecified injuries. His name is currently withheld until next of kin is notified.

Furthermore, the collision blocked the area near Hesperia Airport for several hours as cleaning and preliminary duties took place.

Hesperia police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident and will release additional information once it becomes available.
