Er. Nutan started her journey in Mumbai, where she attended school for engineering. She realized when she began to pursue a degree that her true talents Lay in her Artistic Vision. She switched to studying Higher Interior Design and, along with Business Management at K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management, determined to start her own company. After working, studying, and maintaining a grueling schedule in her early twenties, Nutan started Mamta Interiors in India. However, she later relocated to Oman, where she faced numerous challenges in starting up her own business again. Barriers like differing laws and regulations made it difficult to pick up where she had left off.

However, eventually, Nutan founded Design By Soul Interiors & Landscape in 2019, growing it into a Boutique Consultancy Office. As a born artist who exhibited many spiritual abstract and landscape paintings in and around Oman, Er. Nutan’s artistic vision gives a unique essence to her office and flare to her Interior Design work.

Since its inception, Design By Soul Interiors & Landscape has grown exponentially. Geographically, the company provides services across the United States and Oman and sees future expansion into South Korea, UAE, and Europe. Design By Soul Interiors & Landscape was awarded the “Rising New Enterprise Award in Interior and Landscape Design” by Al Mara Woman’s Magazine. Nutan is known for being on the cutting edge of Gulf trends and maintaining meticulous attention to detail, which her clients love.

On the 29th of November 2023, Nutan was announced the winner of the “Best Interior Designer” award at the Dossier Construction Awards 2023. Nutan notes that after being in the Interior Design field for 25 years and winning this award now with the company she founded, it is a huge achievement for her. She has won awards for the past two years in a row, which she says is especially huge in Oman, as these awards are rare opportunities, so being nominated and then winning “Best Interior Designer” has meant a lot to her.

Design By Soul Interiors & Landscape offers a range of solid wood luxury furniture and custom lighting solutions. Furniture styles span from modern to classical designs, with a legacy dating back to 1969. Custom-made decorative chandeliers and other lighting configurations are Er.
