Hot Moms Club Says Mal is Not Bad: Southern California songwriter Eliza Vera, aka Hot Moms Club, told us about her Mal Hauser / Sam Weber experience.

Hot Moms Club: Okay, wow. The best gig I ever saw?

About a year ago, my boyfriend and I went to see one of my producers play live, Mal Hauser (AKA Mal Not Bad) open up for their partner Sam Weber at Make Out Music’s Bader House. We were blown away. I had never seen Mal live before and, gosh, I was so entranced by their ability to create such an atmosphere with just a guitar, some pedals, and their voice. I’m such a fan.

Then Sam Weber came on, who I’ve listened to for years, and Mal joined his band. To this day, his set was one of the most impressive I’ve ever seen. He is INSANELY talented in his guitar playing, vocal abilities, and songwriting.

My boyfriend and I seriously dropped our jaws during his entire set. We cannot wait to see them again!
