Party PickDas Bunker’s John G, is arguably the top promoter in L.A. when it comes to industrial, darkwave and “goth” flavored events. With Goth Summer Massive, he’s bringing together other like-minded bashes for an evening of moody, noisy, ghouly, sexy sounds and freaky, fetishy, fierce fashion and expression.

The curated event features promotions including Safeword LA, Tears in the Club, Lesbian Goth Night, Girls on Film, Cold Life, and 90’s Goth Klub melding their crowds with the DJs, dancing and drama that always makes Das Bunker a hot ticket. Bunker’s disco and noise rooms should be scorching and spanking as always, while the other gatherings taking over more rooms in the labyrinth-like Catch One promise a complementary immersion. (If you’ve ever been to the “Massive” events thrown by Evil Club Empire, Coven 13 and Club 90s, you get the dizzying mix of atmospheres possible at this legendary venue).

This will surely be the most intense coming together of the goth community we’ve seen in quite some time. In particular we recommend checking out the Safeword room. The fetish and art collective run by women has been a best kept secret in the BDSM scene for a while now, so this event marks a bit more public outing for the sultry soiree. Expect debauchery, performances, vendors, and an inclusive community feel where dommes, subs, and those who admire both can play and party, all surrounded by the best dark sounds and black-garbed music lovers and club creatures. 4067 W Pico Blvd.; Sat., Aug. 12, 9 p.m.-2 a.m.; 21+.
