The gay/mixed dance madness that is Shits & Giggles gets an extra dose of poly-sexual pumpin’ this week when it joins forces with beat-bitchfest A Club Called Rhonda to present San Francisco’s sweetest queer treatsters the Honey Soundsystem (both the name of a roaming rager and its DJ collective). If that weren’t enough, they’re also bringing in the crew from Horsemeat Disco, London’s wildest tea dance and euro-disco/cosmic funk freakout. Expect live performances, androgynous antics, vogueing, costumes, drag, fierce femmes and disco divas of every size, color and gender, all shakin’ it like Donna Summer grooving to a DFA sampler on crack. Hot stuff. At Club 740, 740 S. Broadway, dwntwn.; Fri., Dec. 12, www.callrhonda.net. A different kind of macho men headline Hollywood’s eco-conscious new venue Ecco Lounge the same night. Tommy Lee and DJ Aero bring “electric mayhem” and spazzy spin-style to the decks, along with Mark Lewis and Go Ventures’ Reza. Hopefully the sounds won’t be too reused or recycled. 1640 Cahuenga Blvd. Hlywd.; Fri., Dec. 12; www.eccohollywood.com.
