Unicorns, beetles and bass music are just a few of the things one might find upon first glance at Boogaloo. Art cars plucked straight from Nevada’s annual Burning Man gathering make up the stages, which are fully equipped with bone-rattling sound systems and Technicolor light shows. Look past the lasers and you’ll immediately find yourself in the warm embrace of the kindhearted community that curated the festival. Even in the face of gale-force winds on Friday, April 28, the show went on as festivalgoers banded together to rebuild the wreckage left in the storm’s wake. All photos by Miles Najera.
