Though he's still only 20 years old, San Luis Obispo native Max Styler is already one of the fastest-rising talents on Steve Aoki's Dim Mak label. With a hard-hitting but melodic sound that mixes elements of trap, dubstep and electro-house, he's gotten support from such big and varied names as Diplo, Dillon Francis, Galantis and DJ Snake, as well as landing official remix gigs from the likes of Steve Aoki, Borgore and Lil Jon.

Styler scored his big break when he was still in high school, when he booked an opening slot for Above & Beyond. That soon led to a support gig for Aoki and fellow Dim Mak artist Autoerotique. Styler's debut single, the banger “Badman” with Autoerotique, was “one of my biggest club records over the last nine months” following its November 2014 release, according to Aoki.

The young producer is on a roll in 2016, with a string of massive singles for Dim Mak, including his Graves collaboration “Fly” and the future-bass workout “Show U How,” featuring Karra on vocals. Now, L.A. Weekly is happy to premiere Styler's latest floor filler, “Skyline,” which finds him and Miami producer Felmax pushing a trap/electro hybrid sound in some insane new directions.
