Deadly Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 580 Left a 20-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dead

OAKLAND, CA (November 13, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, a motorcycle crash on Interstate 580 claimed the life of Hamza Salih.

The incident happened on November 9th, near the 106th Avenue off-ramp when Salih, traveling on the westbound lanes, lost control of his vehicle and struck the center divider. He was ejected from his motorcycle and a vehicle struck him on the eastbound lanes.

Emergency crews arrived at the site of the collision shortly after and pronounced 20-year-old Hamza Salih dead at the scene.

According to investigators, the cause of the crash remains unclear. However, officials will release more details once they become available.
