Driven by sporadic guitars and pulsating urgency, their danceable garage rock has been compared to the Strokes. They opened with lead singer/bassist Dave Monks screaming through a fog of distortion, “Operator! Get me the president of the world. This is an emergency,” the intro for “Cheer It On.”
