If you rob the high-profile liquor store patronized by the rich and famous on the Sunset Strip, you better have a good exit plan.

Gil Turner's place is known for hosting shoppers such as Mary-Kate Olsen, Jessica Alba and Avril Lavigne. It also was the site of a robbery over the weekend, West Hollywood sheriff's officials said.

And the two geniuses allegedly involved?

Quickly nabbed, deputies said.

It happened Sunday about 2 a.m. at the fabled liquor store at 9101 Sunset Boulevard, according to a sheriff's statement. It says that a man …

… wearing a blonde wig, ran into the store, produced a handgun and demanded cash. The suspect fled from the location in a white Ford SUV, driven by a female …

At Fairfax and Fountain avenues deputies pulled over a vehicle matching that description and, lo and behold, witnesses said the people inside were the suspects, according to the statement.

Inside the SUV: $133 (which apparently matches the amount taken) and a real, live handgun, deputies said.

The suspects were ID'd as Daniel Garcia, 33, and Veronica Velasco, 40. They were both held on suspicion of robbery. Additionally, Garcia was booked on suspicion of being an ex-felon in possession of a handgun.
