The 77-year-old funk legend George Clinton and his long-standing musician collective, Parliament Funkadelic, performed on Friday, Aug. 31, at the Novo in downtown L.A. In support were L.A.'s own old-school ska/funk ensemble, Fishbone, and NYC rock & roll/funk outfit Miss Velvet & the Blue Wolf.
