DineLA may be in between Restaurant Weeks, but foodies need not worry; there's another charitable food fest headed to town. The Perfect Pairings Menu Campaign – running through the month of April – has signed up more than fifty LA chefs and restaurants to create food and drink pairings with a portion of the proceeds benefiting St. Vincent Meals on Wheels. Participating restaurants include AOC, The Bazaar by José Andrés, XIV by Michael Mina and Comme Ça, among others.
Perfect Pairings isn't your typical “show up and order off the prix-fixe menu” deal; each restaurant has more than one food-and-beverage pairing option. Pairings can be alcoholic or non-alcoholic, a one-of-a-kind dish, the chef's signature specialty or a prix-fixe menu. For fool-proof ordering, just find the Perfect Pairings fork + bottle logo (check it out below) next to menu items included in the program. When you order it, you get a full belly and St. Vincent's Meals on Wheels get a donation. Everyone wins.
