72-Year-Old Evangelina Marquez Dies after Pedestrian Accident on Concord Boulevard

CONCORD, CA (October 4, 2021) – 72-year-old Evangelina Marquez lost her life Monday morning after a deadly pedestrian crash on Concord Boulevard.

The accident happened early Monday morning around 7:20 a.m. in the 4300 block of Concord Boulevard, near Denkinger Road.

According to the CHP, Marquez was crossing the road when a 69-year-old man driving his vehicle struck the woman.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed Marquez to the hospital where she later died.

Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. At this time, CHP said no arrests were made.

However, the exact details on the cause and circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation.
