The man convicted of stalking ESPN reporter Erin Andrews during a spree in which he surreptitiously photographed and videotaped her, sometimes in the nude, was sentenced Monday to two-and-a-half years behind bars.

Michael David Barrett, 49, of Westmont, Illinois, was sentenced in Los Angeles by U.S. District Judge Manuel L. Real, who also ordered Barrett to pay $7,366 in restitution to the woman. Barrett had pleaded guilty to interstate stalking “with the intent to harass and to cause substantial emotional distress,” according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in L.A.

According to the office: “Barrett's conduct included tracking Ms. Andrews to at least three different hotel rooms in three states in 2008. Barrett made the videos after removing the

peephole device from the door in one of the hotel rooms and using his mobile phone to capture video of Ms. Andrews while she was naked.”

After TMZ.com turned down the man's offer to sell it the content, he posted 10 of his videos of Andrews on the internet, the office states. Prosecutors say he posted 32 videos depicting at least 16 other victims of similar taping.

“I'm being victimized every day…and I did nothing to deserve it,” Andrews told the court Monday.
