Violent Crash Near Chesebro Road Left Male Driver Dead

AGOURA HILLS, CA (December 5, 2023) – A vehicle crash along 101 Freeway in Agoura Hills claimed the life of Erick Quezada Osuna.

The fatal incident occurred around 3:06 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Ventura (101) Freeway at Chesebro Road.

According to CHP, a black Ford Mustang collided with a second vehicle, causing it to go off the freeway.

Subsequently, the Mustang crashed into a pole and split the vehicle into multiple pieces before catching on fire.

Good Samaritans at the scene tried to extricate the driver and use dirt to help put out the fire in the Mustang. Additionally, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Unfortunately, the first responders declared the Mustang driver dead at the scene. He was later identified by the medical examiner’s office as Erick Quezada Osuna.

Authorities did not provide the condition of the second driver involved. At this time, the investigators are working to determine if racing played a factor in the crash.

No words can mend the broken hearts and sorrow felt during this delicate moment. Deepest condolences and sympathies are with the family and friends of Erick Quezada Osuna.
