Two-Vehicle Collision near Gardendale Street Kills L.A. County DA Investigator and His Wife

DOWNEY, CA (October 11, 2023) – Sunday, Emilio Guerrero, aged 52, and Annabel Guerrero, aged 47, lost their lives in a fatal two-car collision on Paramount Boulevard, near Gardendale Street, at approximately 2:05 p.m.

The incident is currently under investigation, however reports indicate that a 60-year-old male driver collided with another vehicle for reasons yet to be determined. Medics arrived and pronounced both Emilio and Annabel Guerrero, who were passengers in the second vehicle, deceased.

In the meantime, paramedics rushed the 60-year-old male driver, who hails from South Gate, to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Emilio Guerrero, a 52-year-old Sergeant with the Los Angeles County Bureau of Investigation, and his wife, Annabel Guerrero, a 47-year-old teacher in the Downey Unified School District, were the identified victims of this heartbreaking accident.
