39-Year-Old Man Killed in Auto Collision near Kell East Boulevard

WICHITA FALLS, TX (March 26, 2024)Edgar Alarcon died Friday night and Dakota Phillips was arrested after a speeding collision on Holliday Road and Kell East Boulevard. The incident occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m., on March 15th.

Police reported that Alarcon was operating a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck heading south on Holliday Street, while Phillips was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado west on Kell West. The Silverado was speeding and collided with the front driver’s side of the Colorado.

Subsequently, the Colorado overturned before eventually halting on the roadway, while the Silverado continued through the intersection and came to a stop on a grassy area. Despite rescue attempts, Alarcon was declared deceased at 10:00 p.m., while Phillips received medical attention at a nearby hospital.

Following his discharge from the medical facility, authorities transported Phillips to Wichita County Jail, where he was charged with DWI. Further information is currently unavailable.
