The estimable dublab posse has carved an ornate little corner in Los Angeles in which to create, and has, over the course of its nearly decade-long existence, created beautiful sounds and images in their LA home. Their gatherings are some of the nicest, most open parties around, and their online radio station has exquisite taste (disclaimer: I've done a few dublab sessions myself).
In the past few months the non-profit music collective has been recording visiting musicians in off-the-track locations, and the results are uniformly fantastic. Take, for example, the above video of Cluster filmed by director Matt Amato.
Or this karaoke clip from Ariel Pink.
Or dublab's most recent offering, a session with Langhorne Slim outside of the Beverly Hills Karate Academy.
Or this great Lucky Dragons piece (also shot by Amato on a Red digital camera). Combined, the output even at this early stage is remarkable, and we look forward to each new weekly sessions because, like dublab's listening sessions, you never know what's going to happen next.
