You know what's great about the Los Angeles Marathon? Nothing if you're trying to drive to Hollywood from the Westside to get your Thai food on at the same time streets are tied up like Quagmire on a sex bender. It can make L.A.'s one relatively traffic-free day — Sunday — feel like you've just hit the road at 5 p.m. on a Friday.

Not to worry. The folks over at LAist have a handy-dandy guides to freeway ramp closures and street closures for the event that goes from Dodger Stadium to Santa Monica Sunday. And here's a course map. Unless you're pounding the pavement in your New Balances or cheering on your favorite Nigerian, avoidance is recommended.
