Two Pronounced Dead after Pickup vs Car Collision near East Parlier Avenue

FRESNO, CA (March 28, 2024) – Two victims were killed Monday afternoon, in a two-car accident on Buttonwillow and East Parlier Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m.

The driver of an eastbound Ford Focus failed to halt at a stop sign, resulting in a collision with a Ford truck at the intersection. Emergency responders utilized hydraulic tools to extract the occupants from the Ford Focus. Despite rescue efforts, the male passenger, aged 58, lost his life at the scene.

Subsequently, the 40-year-old female driver was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later passed away from her injuries. The identities of the deceased individuals have not been disclosed to the public, but authorities stated they were residents of Reedley. The driver of the pickup truck remained uninjured.
