Starting Thursday, March 21, the new Disco Queen disco and drag party will come to the LouLou rooftop restaurant and lounge on the Santa Monica promenade every Thursday night. Top drag queens will host and resident DJ ARA will spin disco hits from divas like Donna Summer, Diana Ross, Prince, Michael Jackson, ABBA, Earth Wind & Fire, Chic, and Sister Sledge to name a few.

The launch event will feature a special performance by RuPaul’s Drag Race fan favorite Morgan McMichaels. Doors open at 6 p.m., with 50% off drink specials until 7 p.m., at the bar. Dinner and table reservations are strongly encouraged, as is retro-chic attire. RSVP here for the VIP Guest List.

On Saturday, March 16, from 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., California-inspired bistro Coucou will celebrate its first anniversary with a glass of Perrier Jouet Grande Brut Champagne ($48 value) for each guest at the table when ordering one dozen Beausoleil oysters.

Husband and wife owner duo Jesse and Hayley Feldman are putting the finishing touches on their upcoming second location in West Hollywood’s Norma Triangle neighborhood, set to open this spring. Reservations can be made via Resy

All donations made to Westside Food Bank will receive a dollar-for-dollar match through April 30, as part of its 28th Annual Phantom Dinner. WSFB’s Phantom Dinner tradition enables the nonprofit to allocate 100% of the funds that would otherwise be spent on organizing a gala dinner to the Food Bank’s mission of providing nutritious food for our neighbors in need.

This year, a pool of anonymous donors has pledged to match every dollar donated through the end of April up to $100,000, which means the impact of every gift will be doubled. Normally, $1 is equivalent to four meals, but because of the match, $1 will provide eight nutritious meals for food-insecure children, adults and seniors living in West Los Angeles County.

Food insecurity rates are up another 13% since the height of the pandemic in 2021. The fresh produce, protein foods and pantry staples from the food bank provide nourishment for local individuals and families. At the same time, the $300 per month that they save on groceries often makes the difference between paying rent or losing their housing. Suzanne Goin, Caroline Styne and Chef de Cuisine James Ho will welcome farmers market fixture Romeo Coleman to A.O.C. on Thursday, March 21, for a Coleman Family Farm dinner. The four-course menu draws on Coleman’s Filipino heritage and Romeo’s memories of growing up on the farm.

The evening starts with Coleman chicories with radish, mint and cane vinegar, and smoked camote, nasturtium, pea shoots and salsa macha. Next up, clams with green garlic curry, wood sorrel and nettles, followed by choice of Shunkyo radish cake with glazed turnips, celtuce and sword leaf or wood-oven pork belly with preserved greengage plum, red shiso and mustard greens. Cherimoya ice cream with pineapple curd, vanilla crumble, mango and granita is for dessert.

Pricing for the four-course dinner with paired wines is $85 per guest, excluding tax and gratuity. Prepaid reservations are available via OpenTable Experience.
