Like so many in recent months, a woman from Colombia who is married to a U.S. citizen has been detained by ICE in a facility in Louisiana. She’s using a strange and unconventional method to raise money for her legal defense: an OnlyFans page. Desperation to raise the money necessary to pay legal fees led the anonymous immigrant woman to create an OnlyFans page, using the handle @BlondeOnBond. Her subscribers are enjoying a very different view of her life than the one behind bars that she is currently experiencing.
BlondeOnBond is a former model from Colombia who entered the U.S. legally on a tourist visa. While in the U.S., she met and fell in love with an American man, and began pursuing legal residency through him once they married. In June of 2025, she was charged with a DUI and handed over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Currently, she’s being held in an ICE detention facility in Louisiana while she waits for her bond hearing.
BlondeOnBond isn’t facing immigration court alone. Her husband is an American-born Uber driver and is earnestly working towards her release. To date, he’s spent $15,000 on legal fees in pursuit of bringing his wife home. The couple has been described as being “deeply spiritual,” and very close to one another emotionally. Together, they’re fighting her charges in hopes that she’ll be released soon. The drive from home to the Louisiana facility is 14 hours long, but that hasn’t stopped this loyal husband from making the trek for his allowed two-hour-long visits with his beloved.
The couple made the decision together to launch BlondeOnBond on OnlyFans, using the tagline “The Blonde That Shouldn’t Get Deported.” They had a stash of photos of her that were previously kept private, as a part of their intimacy with one another. According to the husband, the decision to share content that was intended to be kept between the two of them was a tough one to make emotionally. Eventually, the reality of their financial situation made it the clear choice. Currently, BlondeOnBond is slowly gaining followers and is seven likes short of hitting the first hundred. The married pair is crossing their fingers and hoping that it gains traction similarly to GoFundMe campaigns that others have run for similar reasons.
This case is part of a growing number of immigrants who are raising money for their legal aid. A USA TODAY analysis has found that in the past two months, over $1.8 million has been raised via GoFundMe alone for immigration-related causes. Stays in detention haven’t been limited to criminals. Many who have been locked up in ICE facilities have no criminal record and have documented steps showing that they were in the process of applying for legal residency. For example, José Martinez is a 30-year U.S. resident who was detained while en route to his construction job. Funds were raised in order to pay his $4,000 bail. In another case, a Vermont homebuilder and vineyard manager who wishes to remain anonymous was detained by ICE, despite their strong community ties and legal efforts on their behalf.
The emotional cost of living in that kind of uncertainty is a heavy one. BlondeOnBond has reported that her faith sometimes keeps her hopeful that she’ll be able to return to her husband, but also says that at other times, “I lose heart.” The content that she has consented to allow her husband to share on OnlyFans on her behalf greatly differs from her current daily life in detention. Says her husband, “I don’t know where this will lead, but I’m trying to do anything I can to come up with the money.”
For the many immigrant families who are currently caught in legal limbo, love, legality, and survival are colliding in frequently unthought-of ways. Sometimes behind locked doors, and sometimes from the OnlyFans login page.
